Update from Periche

After a 7 hour walk from Phortse the team was looking forward to a rest day in Periche. Chris has adjusted our itinerary to include a rest day here and it is most welcomed. The lodge is great and we all have an opportunity to get some washing done - the smell is becoming too unbearable- and of course the best is a hot gas shower. These are few and far between. The guys, of whom most haven't showered since Namche Bazar, have completely transformed with a bit of soap and shampoo. Difficult to get to internet cafe's and pics take too long to upload so just a quick update. The trek to Base Camp is in our sights and many of us are longing for home familiarities. This is certainly an experience one will never forget!
