Group one has e arrived in a chilly ans snowed over Gokyo! The lakes
are unbelievable, one unfrozen and two frozen over! It has really been
freezing, we are wearing everything we have! Met a South African
doctor who is volunteering here in Gokyo- she is ecstatic to hear the
accent again as she is quite isolated here. The group are doing well,
getting lots of rest. It has been mentally really tough as the wind is
icy. Some of the group opted to rest in Macchermo for the night and we
will meet up with them again tomorrow. The secret here is to go "pole'
pole'" which in Nepalese means slowly slowly! Did we mention these
lakes are absolutely stunning???
