Day 1: Mumbai

Wa arrived last night at about 1am, and finally got to sleep. The showers were a mere trickle, so cooling off was hard. Today we have toured around a bit. First to Ghandi's house, which was inspirational. Seeing the simple goods he used for daily life as he got older, and thinking about the crucial role his being thrown off the train in Maritzburg had for SA, India and the world.
It is very busy,noisy and hot here, and everyone has cricket fever after yesterday's Indian cricket victory.

The Adventure Begins

We will be setting off in about 3 1/2  hours on the adventure of a lifetime. We will try to update this blog as often as possible, with news and photos, as we go along. Tomorrow we fly to Mumbai, leaving Johannesburg at 11:00 and arriving in India at 23:35. The time difference is 3 1/2 hours, so I guess that means a 9 hour flight.
